Friday 9/14 8:30-9:45am:
FLASHBACK FRIDAY Cycle with Emily
Do you remember what songs you were jamming out 10 years ago? Maybe some Coldplay, Chris Brown or Beyonce? Join Emily Benton, our super cycle instructor and DJ extraordaire, for a high energy ride with some throw-back tunes from the year Balance opened – 2008. Space is limited to 12 so book your bike and get ready for a fun blast from the past.

Wednesday 9/19 8:30-9:30am:
B FIT MOBILITY with Amy & Alex B
A 45 minute circuit training class led by strength specialist Amy and movement guru Alex B. Their 45 minute circuit will incorporate weight and cardio intervals that allow you to get your heart rate up with limited impact on your joints. In between strength and cardio stations will be a mobility station to tune the body to power further. This kind of guided mobility training helps not just your performance in the workout, but increases your range of motion, flexibility and wellness in your day to day life.

Thursdays 9/27, 10/18 and 11/8 at 6:00am:
FTP CYCLE SERIES with Eric Schneider
Now that you’re up to speed on our new cycle leader board and working harder than ever to produce more power, it’s time to take your cycle game to the next level and get your FTP measured. FTP stands for Functional Threshold Power and is the average power that a rider can produce over the course of an hour. Measured in watts per kilo, your FTP number is calculated from your power divided by your weight and is a more accurate reflection of your fitness levels than looking at the power number alone. Sign up for this 6 am class with Eric, our expert in metrics, and leave class with your score and a goal in mind to achieve by the next test in 3 and 6 weeks.

BALANCE GIVES BACK

Join Balance in giving back to some of our favorite charities. Each one of these classes will be offered free with donation. How to participate/donate will be different for each and details are coming soon. Please mark your calendars! Registration opens 2 weeks before the class.

CITIZEN'S BANK SPARTAN RACE
September 22nd
Ages 4 and up, great family event!

Ditch the excuses. Commit (you and/or your family & friends) to 6 weeks of targeted training for better mental and physical fitness leading up to the September 22nd Philly Stadium Spartan Race at Citizen’s Bank Park.

As a team we will get ready for this race by preparing our bodies and minds to take on each of the Spartan Race Challenges. Each week we will have 2 focused group workouts that will cover a specific part of the race. On Saturday mornings we will meet at the SCH track for a “stadium workout”. Participants 14 years and older will also get access to unlimited group fitness classes to take your race prep to the next level!

This race fills up quickly so contact our team captain, Schuy, at Balance (info@balancech.com) if you have any questions or need more details.

6 Week Training Program:
Training begins Sunday, August 12th
6 weeks prior to race Saturday, September 22nd

Spartan Team Training Sessions (try to attend 2 of 3, or all 3!)
Tuesday 10:30-11:15am with Amy in the studio
Thursday 5:45-6:45pm with Alex at SCH Stadium*
Sunday 2:00-3:00pm with Jesse at SCH Stadium*
*If weather is uncooperative we will meet at the studio

BIO FIT YOUTH SPORTS STRENGTH & CONDITIONING

The goal of BioFit Philly's YSC Program is to build strength and movement patterns that translate into clean, explosive athletic movement, in a program appropriately designed for the needs of young, developing athletes. Our athletes are meticulously tested, trained according to their unique results, and retested to determine progress along the way.

Monday/Wednesday/Friday 4:30-5:30
16 (60 minute) sessions over 6 weeks
