B Inspired's Spring Wellness Festival

Founders of B Inspired, Liz Harris and Amy Carolla, will be hosting their annual spring wellness festival, InspireFest, at Kismet Cowork in Manayunk. This season’s exciting, 4-hour event will feature a morning of exercise and meditation and a chance to learn about the newest wellness trends. Former Olympic Swimmer—Kate Ziegler, Principle PA Ballet Ballerina—Mayara Piniero, Meditation Specialist—Luna Maye, and Former All-American Lacrosse Player— Joey Sankey will all be in attendance and participate and lead various aspects of the festival.

Mother's Day Dance Fitness

Swing your hips into shape while toning your thighs, abs, and arms. This energetic class is designed for all fitness levels and promises to tone YOU up while you dance your heart out.

Class begins with a warm-up and continues with a strengthening section for those trouble spots! All warmed up and ready to go, the next part of the class is a cardiovascular workout, the opportunity to dance our way into fitness bliss. Finally, before we conclude our workout, the cool down section allows us to lower our heart rate and stretch out any tightness before launching ourselves back into life!

Yasmin Goodman trained extensively in gymnastics and in Shotokan Karate before turning to dance. She studied at Temple University and with top area jazz teachers in our area. For the past 30+ years, she has taught and performed in the Philadelphia area. She began her career teaching fitness class for the Main Line YMCA (now Haverford YMCA) in 1981where she inspiring hundreds of participants to TONE IT UP! She co-founded and directed the YAZZU DANCE Co., a performance company that allowed new dance talent and acclaimed professionals to showcase their work. Since 1999, she has been teaching jazz dance at Bryn Mawr motivating dancers with her energetic style. Yasmin is passionate about fitness and dance and is committed to each person’s physical wellbeing and full self-expression on the dance floor.

Dynamic Strength & Movement

A hybrid class featuring a blend of dynamic stretching, yoga inspired movements, and focused deep core work. The goal of the class is to mobilize your joints, strengthen your stabilizer muscles and improve your posture.

Tuesdays at 6am with Eric Schneider

Join Eric for the 6 Tuesdays to ride the famous Spring Classic one day bicycle races. These are races which go back 50 years or more, often featuring steep, punchy climbs and old cobbled roads. You will get to ride these in the comfort of Balance’s cycling studio rather than fighting the wind and rain which is typical in Europe this time of year, but the effort will be heroic none the less.

We have 6 rides back to back and anyone completing all 6 will receive a guaranteed reservation in our Tour De France Cycling Series and a free pass + one buddy pass to experience any one our new Small Group Training Sessions.

Sleep 101: The Science of Good Sleep
with Amanda Swain MD and Jacqueline Kloss Ph.D.

Sleep is as essential to our health as the water we drink and the food we eat. Integrating psychology and medicine, this class will help you better understand the fundamentals of sleep and how it changes over the lifespan. We'll discuss common misconceptions about sleep, cutting edge research, and scientific strategies for enhancing sleep health.

Jacqueline D. Kloss, Ph.D. is a clinical psychologist who practices behavioral sleep medicine at Bryn Mawr Psychological Associates. She is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Pennsylvania, Department of Psychiatry, Behavioral Sleep Medicine Program. Dr. Kloss is currently leading a study a NIH- sponsored study on women and sleep throughout the reproductive years. She has also published numerous articles, chapters, and books in the areas of sleep, insomnia, and women’s health. Her goal is to help others achieve their optimal sleep health!

Amanda Finegold Swain, MD is a primary care physician who has trained in delivering Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBTI). In her primary care practice at the University of Pennsylvania Student Health Service she explores the intersections of sleep and wellness. She is also a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine where she hopes to train the next generation of doctors to know more about sleep!




Trip Dates: October 16 - 20

If you are interested in trying out an Inspired Adventure, this is the perfect trip for you! The six week training program will get you in stellar shape to take on the interesting and beautiful terrain in Acadia National Park. We will be staying together in homes in Northeast Harbor, Maine. Each day we will hike (optional trail running), bike, and partake in yoga and active recovery with Alex Brazinski. We will also be preparing our own healthy meals.

6 Week Maine Adventure training program begins September 3 to October 15





The goal of BioFit Philly's YSC Program is to build strength and movement patterns that translate into clean, explosive athletic movement, in a program appropriately designed for the needs of young, developing athletes. Our athletes are meticulously tested, trained according to their unique results, and retested to determine progress along the way.
