Susan Brown 

Working as a personal trainer and nutrition coach the last 12 years in the U.K. and U.S., Susan has always believed “you can’t out-train a bad diet.” Having helped many Balance clients achieve body transformations in the 6-week Goals Program, Susan was inspired to dig even deeper into the science behind different nutritional theories. Completing her Health Coaching degree with the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, she loves helping clients find the right nutritional approach and is passionate about sharing her belief that “food is medicine.”


What is a health coach?

A wellness authority and supportive mentor who motivates individuals to cultivate positive health choices. Health coaches educate and support clients to achieve their health goals through lifestyle and behavior adjustments.

Why do so many people fall away from gyms and hop from diet to diet? The missing ingredient to creating lasting results is setting meaningful goals, addressing habit and behavior change and having a coach to support you and hold you accountable! Health coaches help you bring together all of the pieces to your health puzzle and work with you to create a personalized path for wellness.


The magic of the 3 or 6 month program 

Three- six months of coaching is the right time frame for you to encounter the inevitable and wonderful rhythms of life – including vacations, changes in seasons, and the holidays. As a health coach, it is my role to help you navigate these inevitable patches without falling away from your goals.

This 3-6 month time frame also allows you to go deeper into health topics you need more support with on a one-on-one basis like deeply ingrained food habits, meal planning, and portion control; it also allows you dive into next level health topics including managing stress, sleep, hormones, gut health and inflammation. Weekly check ins are your lifeline –letting you know you aren’t going at it alone – and helping to trouble shoot between appointments.


  • Initial Consultation ($150) 1 x 90 minute comprehensive session covering your health history, your nutrition habits, your areas of concern, and your health goals. We will set achievable daily goals, create a nutrition plan, discuss macronutrients and food labels and take measurements. Includes a follow up check-in via email or text for accountability.

  • Individual follow up: ($85) 1 x 45 minute follow up session to check on progress, check in with daily goals, make adjustments to meal plan and exercise routine and to explore areas where more education and support are needed.

  • 3 months coaching ($299) 3 x 45 minute coaching sessions + weekly check-ins over a 3 month period. These three sessions would follow up your initial consultation and would include discussing successes and challenges between visits, delving deeper into relevant nutrition topics and setting goals for the next visit. Includes a weekly check in via email or text for accountability.

  • 6 months of coaching ($540) 6 x 45 minute coaching sessions with an option to include a home visit for a session. Use two sessions a month or spread out to use 1 session a month over 6 months. See the above coaching package for session details.
