You don’t have to be great to start, but you have to start in order to be great! To get you started, we offer a special package for all newcomers –3 classes for $35 – the perfect way to get a taste of the Balance experience. Our trainers are experts at making everyone feel comfortable and providing modifications for all levels; our music is motivating and our classes are spirited, challenging and fun.

At Balance, our small class sizes allow our trainers to correct your form and to offer personal encouragement. This environment allows you to build a relationship with your instructor and to meet new motivating people. We offer classes from barre to boxing and circuits to cycling – each with the goal of preparing your body to tackle whatever it is you do outside the gym.

Most of the classes listed below appear in the most current group fitness schedule but changes are made from time to time. The current schedule can always be viewed in our MOMENCE SOFTWARE SYSTEM. We invite new clients to enjoy their first class free and we offer a wide variety of pricing options.

 
 

Senior fitness

The Chair Fitness Class series with Meggin is for anyone looking for a low impact, safe way to work the lower and upper body and core. On Tuesdays & Thursdays at 1pm we use the chair as a tool for form, postural work, core, and leg exercises that require assistance with balance. On Wednesday the format is Low Impact Fitness (Out of the Chair) but continues to use chair when necessary and also incorporates light hand weights (1-3 lbs). Movements are designed for both classes to be fluid, create more balance, stability and flexibility while also focusing on getting stronger! This class series is not just for our active seniors! It’s for anyone who wants to improve their functional movement working in a low impact, supported format. This class is delivered virtually via Zoom.


 
 

Cardio/Endurance

Balance Burn

A 30 minute class – short and sharp - which focuses on building cardiovascular endurance. This circuit style class features both body weight exercises and cardio intervals on equipment like the skill mill, the rowing machines and the battle ropes. If you like to get your sweat on and your heart rate up, this class is up your alley.

B-Fit Boxing

A 60 minute blend of classic boxing circuit training, plyometrics, calisthenics, and core work to get you fighting fit. Our boxing offers the one-two punch of both teaching valuable self-defense and building endurance, balance, and coordination.

Balance Burn & Sculpt

A 45 minute blend of body sculpting moves with light weights and cardio intervals to help you tone and tighten your trouble areas and improve your stamina and endurance. Get your heart pumping and muscles toned with fun music and fresh routines making the time fly by.

BARRE

Balance Barre is a full body sculpt class designed to specifically work the deep musculature of the body. These muscles stabilize and lengthen the body creating excellent posture and a long, lean functional frame. Extra emphasis is placed on proper alignment of the spine, engagement of the core and most importantly, posture, as muscle specific exercises are executed with light hand weights, weighted body bars, the mounted ballet barre, small fitness balls, elastic tubing, yoga straps and or of course, one's own body weight. Balance work, flexibility training and fundamental fitness moves such as planks, squats, bicep curls and lateral raises are worked with a flavor of Yoga, PILATES and traditional Ballet exercises. But you do not have to have a background in any of these disciplines to take this class!

Cardio core

Ignite your metabolism and carve out a strong, toned core with Cardio Core. This exhilarating class merges HIIT using the cardio equipment with targeted core exercises. You'll challenge your abs, obliques and overall stability while torching calories and boosting your cardiovascular endurance.

hEATED FLOW

Susan's TUESDAY Heated Flow (50 min): Using light and medium weights, bands and balls, Susan will take you through a total body workout in a gently heated room to promote detoxification and to support the immune system. Special attention is paid to technique and breath, as well as mobility and stabilizer muscles. We finish this class with a 15 minute meditation for busy minds to help reduce stress and cortisol levels and increase health and well-being. Terryann's FRIDAY Heated Flow (50 min): Terryann will take you through a total body workout in a gently heated room to promote detoxification and to support the immune system. Special attention is paid to technique and breath, as well as mobility and stabilizer muscles. We finish this class with a 5 minute meditation for busy minds to help reduce stress and cortisol levels and increase health and well-being.

hEATED SCULPT

Lighter weights and higher reps in a gently heated room make for the perfect 30 minute total body sculpt. Build lean muscle, reduce body fat, improve cardiovascular health and reach maximum muscular endurance.

pILATES MAT

Based in Pilates foundations, this quick burning class will strengthen and sculpt deep layers of the core. Get ready to dig deeper to gain stability and improve muscle tone, while using proper alignment and posture.


 
 

Cardio/Strength

B-Fit

Our 45 minute signature circuit training class that incorporates both weight and cardio intervals to maximize your results. This style of high intensity training gets your heart rate up and stimulates your metabolism long after your class is over. Modifications are always offered to accommodate all levels. You can expect to use various equipment including our dumbbells, TRX, kettlebells, BOSU balls, medicine balls, the skill mill and rowers. as well as incorporating cardio intervals.

Balance Experience

A 45 minute comprehensive fitness class designed to target all aspects of your physical well-being. 

Class Breakdown:

- Total Body Strength (20 minutes):** Engage in a variety of exercises aimed at building and toning your muscles.

- Cardio and Core (20 minutes):** Boost your heart rate and strengthen your core with dynamic cardio and core-focused activities.

- Flexibility and Mobility (10 minutes):** Conclude the session with essential stretches and mobility exercises to enhance flexibility and prevent injury.

This ultimate balance experience offers a well-rounded workout, incorporating a little bit of everything to keep your fitness routine fresh and effective.

Cardio strong

45 minute full body cardio & strength circuits with a more prominent focus on building cardiovascular endurance.

Low Impact HIIT

A 30 minute workout offering a great introduction to circuit training that allows you to get your heart rate up with minimal impact on your joints. Each class incorporates strength and cardio moves in addition to core work. Get into the HIIT without your joints taking the HIIT. 

Sports Barre

A 30 minute fast paced cardio barre class that combines body weight movements, light weights, resistance bands and short cardio intervals. This class gets your heart rate up while sculpting your stabilizer muscles.


 
 

Strength

Strength & Conditioning

45 minutes of Strength and Conditioning circuit training. This involves a wide range of exercises developed to build a variety of skills with a focus on mind, mobility, stability, strength, endurance, power, speed, agility and performance.

B-Strong

A 30 minute pure strength training circuit utilizing our TRX’s, free weights, kettle bells, medicine balls, bands, BOSUs and plyometric boxes. The focus is on functional movements to make you stronger for everyday life.

B-Lean

A 60 minute Barre fusion class designed to specifically work the deep musculature of the body. These muscles stabilize and lengthen the body creating excellent posture and a long, lean functional frame. Barre Core

A 30 minute express barre workout that incorporates light weights, sliders and balls to work arms and abs. The perfect compliment to our 30 minute cycle that precedes it. Class finishes with a full body stretch.


 
 

Flexibility

Balance Mobility

This 30-min class will focus on creating and expanding mobility while challenging balance, strength, and coordination in order for you to keep a balanced body.

B-Revitalized

A 60 minute flowing sequence of slow paced Yoga/Pilates inspired exercises from standing to mat work. Lengthen and strengthen your muscles as well as relax and restore your body from intense training.

Sunday stretch

A 45 minute flowing sequence of slow paced Yoga /Pilates inspired exercises from standing to mat work. Lengthen and strengthen your muscles as well as relax and restore your body from intense training.

yOGA FOR ATHLETES - RECOVER AND RELAX

Increase athletic performance, mobility, flexibility, core and full body strength with this full body flow: Yoga for Athletes! This gentle yoga routine is designed to speed up muscle recovery while improving balance and coordination. Most importantly it will leave you feeling relaxed and centered.
